Lenormand Cards
What are Lenormand Cards
The Lenormand card oracle is named after Mlle Marie Anne Lenormand, a famous French fortune teller of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Mlle Lenormand was probably one of the most gifted readers of her time and supposedly did read for empress Josephine, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Tsar of Russia to name a few.
After her death in 1843 a deck of cards was published that was later on simplified and published in different European countries.
The Lenormand deck includes 36 cards that depict different images. This kind of reading is very different from Tarot. The cards are read like a sentence and each card can relate to others by using different methods.
What kind of Questions can be answered?
Because this reading is more matter of fact it is best to ask specific questions in order to get a clear answer.
Anything from Family, Love life, Work, can be looked at. It is always good to have some questions in mind, though be open minded to hear what you may have not thought about before. Sometimes the real issue or topic will come up in a reading. It is always good to be open minded during a reading. Sometimes it helps to give time to think about the answers received.
What else do i need to know?
I have been reading Lenormand cards for the last 20 years. I would say that this trade is rooted deeply in my family. When i was little i was very used to my mom reading 'normal' playing cards, the kind you play games with. I remember we often had people over receiving answers. You can say that it is in my blood and i am happy to be able to continue the line.
